The Church of God (Seventh Day) has grown out of the efforts of dedicated
Sabbath keeping Christians who lived in southwestern Michigan and central
lowa.
Their earliest efforts began in the late 1850’s.
The Michigan church extended its influence into the eastern and central
parts of the United States through the publication in 1863 of a magazine
known as The Hope of Israel. Through The Hope of Israel, Christians were
invited to assemble regularly in conferences and camp meetings.
The Hope of Israel helped to create interest in the distinctive
doctrines of the Sabbath keepers, resulting in the organization of the
General Conference of the Church of God in 1884.
The Church of God (Seventh Day) was first incorporation in 1899, in the
state of Missouri.
Meanwhile, The Hope of Israel had been moved from Michigan to lowa and then
to Missouri. Its name has been changed several times until today it is
known as the Bible Advocate. It
has been published in Denver, Colorado, since 1972, when it was relocated to
join the general offices of the Church of God (Seventh Day), which had been
in Denver since 1950.
In 1990, the church of God (Seventh Day) has 152 congregations and Sabbath
schools in the United States in 32 states.
In Canada the Church has 11 congregations in four provinces.
The church of God (Seventh Day) has affiliates in 20 countries outside
the United States and Canada with a world membership numbering 40,000.
In today’s rapidly changing and chaotic world, God’s grace and the
crying needs of the human heart remain constant.
The Church of God (Seventh Day) today offers warm hearted fellowship and
victorious Christian faith exemplified by the Church of the New Testament.
The same basic human needs of the first century, now identified with the
1990’s, affirm the relevance of the Church’s Bible-centered message, as well
as the urgency of its God-in-spired mission.
Jesus Christ is recognized as the absolute Head of the Church, in total
charge of nurturing his spiritual Body.
No human being, living or dead is ever looked upon as her founder, ruler,
prophets, apostle, or spiritual director.
The Holy Bible, which is divinely inspired, preserved, and transmitted, is
employed for training and instruction in spiritual growth and guidance.
Ever remaining as the only Christians standard, God’s Word clearly
illuminates the way of Jesus Christ.
Doctrinal beliefs are established through Bible study, as inspired through
the agency of God’s Holy Spirit; yet, do not constitute a closed creed.
Growth in scriptural knowledge, understanding, and wisdom is encouraged
throughout the Church membership.
An open invitation is extended to penitent seekers to accept Jesus Christ as
both their Lord and Savior, and to begin to live according to His divinely
revealed will. Open worship
services and studies are regularly conducted, which glorify God,
substantiate His Word and strengthen Christian faith.
Warm and abiding friendship of other Christians is provided through church
attendance.
Opportunities for worship, preaching, Bible studies and prayer meetings are
generously provided to strengthen the Christian community in living for
Christ.
Wholesome social and recreational activities are sponsored and encouraged,
with primary emphasis on the family-as well as education instruction for the
youth and children.
Additional fellowship with more distant Christians is made available and
encouraged through district Bible conferences, retreats and summer camps.
OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE
Stewardship training through the Church is intended to lead to greater
Christian service on the personal level.
Participation in the ministries of the church through the weekly Sabbath
school, lay evangelism, youth and children’s organizations add vitality to
the Christian experience.
Though the representative polity of the Church, lay leadership is provided
with an opportunity for individual expression and service.
The greater ministry on the Church of God (Seventh Day) is conducted by its
United Ministries, which is composed of several agencies, having one overall
goal-yet, each with a separate and specific assignment: that of serving the
Church’s membership and its evangelistic needs.

PART TWO
RESEARCH
ON THE CHURCH OF
GOD (FIRST ORIGINALLY KNOWN, BUT NOW KNOWN CHURCH OF GOD SEVENTH DAY)
Church of God (Seventh Day) has many off shoots which are
known to keep the Sabbath day, which some become independent Churches
Organizations, such as the Church of God, City of faith, Sabbath
Keeping, Mount Zion, Worldwide, whole world, Apostolic Church of God 7th
day Ministries and more! But the Church of God (Seventh Day) is an
independent mission Organization.
PART THREE RESEARCH
This Church is not linked to the Church Of God, even though they were
first having the name as Sabbath Observing, for the Other Church Of God
didn't come out away from Adventistism and this name God Of Church being
use by another Church which many may have changed their name to the
Congregation Of Yahweh and other names, but they also keep the Sabbath
Observance and even Feast days.
So when any one say Church Of God, beware who it is and even those who
call themselves by nick name to be?
SEVENTH DAY ADVENTIST
CHURCH
From Millerites Movement
from many different sunday denominations which joined William Miller who was
a ex secret society member and he was popular in his field in what did for
society at war and a sheriff and this is a sunday Baptist Pastor preaching
his messages and sharing prophecies in around well after 1800 era in the
times still with old wives tales so popular and many free thinkers secret
societies influence the American churches then and also the words of flesh
or points of views. His prophecy failed about the coming of Christ in 1844
according to his own vision and interpretations, and his Movement the birth
after him took up his work to make a meaning or a interpretation months
after months with out him or try to make a reform purpose and for
zealousness they tried until they met those as members having dreams and
visions trying to interpret Miller's massage. They were reading many things,
the Seventh Baptist Members were giving out tracts about the Sabbath and
members were found with those who were Millerites who then was called
Adventist Movement and the Adventist Movement began which name later called
Seventh day Adventist Church. You can name all the famous Churches they were
there in the Movement, the shakers (pentecostal with church manual), later
day saints (book of the mormons church), methodist (the so called chatting
manual) sunday baptist church and more.
Even then being zealous
many went their own way because of the times in which they believed goings
backward or inventors and thinking what they understood they took and one of
them jehovah witness and the many.
But in the Adventist
Church, was searching and using Miller's work which was their interpreted in
another form was from his work meant to be, so interpretation was done and
one cannot say whether because of the errors of Miller's work but it was
transformed and a lady named Ellen White her dreams and visions possibly
were the make up to the prophecy or she saw the word or she the vision the
Church, but after so much interpretation and accepting prophecy and the
word, it was unable for the Church to accept a body of members and to accept
the Biblical tongues, for every thing comes from a woman and her record is
final.
I don't know whether it
was her words, but it seems there is some going backwards by those who hold
such value, the bible through God's word will make up the body so nothing is
lacking.
I respect school, but
not to rely on the weaker individuals but the Lord alone so I'm not
borrowing someone's gifts or understanding but the Lord alone and final say.
For if any one is sick
and cannot find the answer as many will run away who would you turn to?
So I love school, even
up to date school, but I love God much more.
Anything is possible in
a Church that love the Word and those in lighten about the age of fashion
without understanding.
The things is trusting
weaker vessel and I not talking about Ellen as a woman, but I'm talking
mainly every one seeking to the level of Christ.
I still the same, I
could take Ellen as a Mother because of her zeal.
But you see the woman
that brought me in to the world did it again today and she is not Adventist
or should I say she used to go to church on sunday and stopped and worship
at home.
Few weeks it could
have been three weeks she said she had a dream and she explain the dream and
interpret that some one she knows is going to die, today I was told by some
one that some one's mother die last week and to deliver the message, so I
did.
This person hasn't
done it once or twice for she had another dream this year earlier and said
some one going to die and it was around the same time my Adventist Aunt
brother died this year around then.
She shares her dreams
I try to say yes yes as I don't really care or not bothered.
She know when her
second husband going to die, she gave him a sandwich in hospital as he got
ready to put on his clothes to go home and she said as you get ready I will
go to pay the bills and she went and some thing in her mind said go back to
the hospital quickly and she found him laying there taking his last breath,
with is tongue out and eyes watering and holding the sandwich as his body
sitting down on a chair in front of a TV.
She did it again
saying this man look like he's going die who was a neighbour and he died the
same day.
She can read any one's
face and she knows when something is wrong, she had more dreams and tell
them and she tells them then and there and no other time, but she is not all
that brightest as above.
That's why I don't
worship gifts or look up to individuals no matter who they are, for I
worship God and God made things for himself alone and don't business others
views or how smart they are but if they are willing to serve him it is
acceptable to him.
